How do you see the Constitution of 1956? Highlight its salient features.

Solution

Pakistan won independence under extremely difficult conditions. The next duty was to establish a new grade. There were no managerial arrangements. Riots, refugee’s problem and economic pressures were tough for the new state. Negative manner from Indian government and war on Kashmir created problems in relations with India. India created many problems for Muslims. Muslims accepted government of India Act 1935 as the first temporary foundation. Quaid _i_Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was the first Governor General of Pakistan. The first Prime Minister was Liaquat Ali Khan. It was very tough to run a new state where nation having nothing in their hands at that time. It was a new place and sources were less for surviving. The Governor has to fulfill many responsibilities about every thing. Pakistan has to be developed. Every thing was UN balanced. This was a new state so it was tough to arrange it. For this purpose different comities were assembled to organize the laws, and important features for the new state.

The constitution of 1956 was an example of these laws.

President 

 The President was the head of the state. He would be a Muslim. He must be of age more than 40. He was allowed to have the authority after Allah to run the state according to the teachings of Allah. He was allowed to take the important desesions for the betterment of the country.

Laws of Islam

All laws were following by Islam. All the issues will be solved according to the teachings of Quran. Every one was order to follow the teachings of Islam being a Muslim.

Name of state

Islamic Republic Pakistan was decided as the name of the new state for Muslims. This was a Muslim state so the was appointed following by the religion.

Language

Urdu and Bengali were made national languages. And all the people were ordered to adopt these languages.

Power of Allah

Allah has the full command over the world. So as a Muslim society all the power was at Allah’s hand.

Federalism

The power was divided among the centre and the provinces. Every province was under the minister. Who had the authority to established their provinces.

Rights

This was an essential part for the nation.All Muslims will have been given essential rights.

Institute

It was also said that there will arranged institutes for providing the teachings of Islam to every child. The education system will be there. And they will try to provide education to every one.  

Independence for nation

1. All the nation was promised to provide independence .
2. Courts were made to solve the fights between different people.
3. People other than Muslims were allow to live.
4. They were allow to live freely and live their lives according to their own religion.
5. Every one was promissed to be behave equally.
